The Student Finance Team is located in the Student Centre, near Main Reception on the Chichester Campus and in the Courtyard on the Brinsbury Campus. We will help you ensure that money isn't a barrier to you coming to college. There are several funds, government schemes and bursaries that can help you. Learning Support Grant
We may be able to help you with the cost of fees, equipment, child care, travel, meals for 16-18 and residential costs. You do not have to be on benefits to get financial help. We have made applying as simple as possible, but it will involve filling in forms, providing evidence and telling us about your financial situation. We will then make an assessment based on your personal circumstances. Application forms are available from the Student Finance Team or click on the link below.
Whilst applications are available no allocations will be communicated to students until 1st August 2018. No payments will be made until the student has completed enrolment.
Stagecoach is offering a 7 day student megarider gold ticket for just £23 per week to allow unlimited bus travel on their bus services within West Sussex including routes to Brighton, Hampshire and Surrey. You will be eligible to a student discount when showing your Chichester College student card this will allow you to purchase your megarider gold ticket for £19.20.
Rail Concession For Students
IF your journey to Chichester or Brinsbury campus begins at Billingshurst, Shoreham-by-sea or Chichester, or any of the stations inbetween, you can purchase a 7 day unizone ticket for just £19.80.
A unizone ticket entitles you to 7 days unlimted travel (within the destinations described above).

To purchase the Unizone Ticket you will need both a16-25 Railcard and your College Student Card. Your student College card will be issued on enrollment. You will need to apply online at www.16-25railcard.co.uk/railcard for your 16-25 railcard and this will cost £30 for the year.
N.B. Mature students over the age of 25 can also apply for the 16-25 railcard, they will need to upload and complete the Mature Student Declaration available on the 16-25 railcard website.
If your journey to Chichester or Brinsbury campus begins at Horley or Ockley, or any of the stations inbetween, you will be entitled to a 34% discount. Tickets are purchased from Southern Railway's website www.southernrailway.com.
This will be subject to the following conditions:
- You must be a full time student
- You must have obtained a free 'Sussex Student Card'
- You must purchase your ticket for a minimum of one month
N.B. Your discount will only be valid for stations that are not covered by the Worthing and Billingshurst Unizone. To ensure they can obtain their discount from the rail company, students need to get a Sussex Student Card. To do so they should visit www.westsussex.gov.uk/schooltransport and follow the links to "Find out more about Sussex Student Card.
Childcare Support 2018/2019
If you are 19 or under and you have children you can apply for help with childcare costs from the Care to Learn scheme. You can complete an online application via the Care to Learn website using this link https://www.gov.uk/care-to-learn.
If you are aged 20 and over you may be eligible to apply to the Chichester College Learning Support Grant for help towards your Childcare costs. You must use a Ofsted accredited Childcare provider. Please contact the Student Finance Team for more information.

These are available to full-time students taking landbased courses at our Brinsbury campus who live beyond a normal, daily, travel distance. The bursary is for accommodation costs or for travel costs, if the student wishes to stay at home. The bursary can be up to £94 a week for students living away from home. The bursary is means tested, so the amount a student receives will depend on their family's income. Applications for bursaries are made direct to the College, please speak to the Student Finance team for more information.
